It's just not fair when . . .

Top ten things that just aren’t fair in life!

It’s just not fair when . . .

1)      People do, in fact, judge a book by its cover.
-It is a fact that book covers are what catch people’s attention! The bright colors and interesting subject on the cover is what is appealing to people’s eyes. Unfortunately many people are guilty of this, but we need to start opening that front cover and reading what the true meaning of the book is.

2)      You can calculate hours instead of miles to reach a family member.
-It is rough being such a great distance from a family member. I am a couple states away from both of my brothers, niece, and sister-in-law but I wish every day that it would be different. The one thing I have to remember is I am only far in miles but not so far in the heart.

3)      Bad things happen to good people.
-I’ve always been told that things happen for a reason, but sometimes it’s hard to believe. Sickness seems to be what gets to us. I still wonder why such a great, lively, young person can be diagnosed with cancer; I hope we don’t have to wonder much longer. The best we can do is pray and help that person fight it!

4)      My parents give me a curfew.
-I am going to be leaving for college here pretty soon, and I just can’t understand my parents reasoning to be home at a certain time. I do understand they are concerned about my safety but what are they going to do in a couple months when I am in college at MSU or even another state! Parents need to come to a realization that a curfew may no longer be necessary by the end of their child’s senior year!

5)      My friends do something fun while I have to work.
-It’s a win lose situation. I do enjoy that flow of income every month but to be guaranteed this I have to make choices. I took on the responsibility of having a job for money just for me. It is tough going to work knowing my friends are having a ball without me, but by the time I have a day off and that spare cash in my pocket I couldn’t be happier.

6)     I don’t have a say.
-It seems to be a thing when parents are able to tell you when and when not they want your opinion. Sometimes I tend to be very opinionated and tell you what I think. I really like to do this with my brothers but running my mouth gets me in trouble. I’d like everything to go my way, but we all know that’s not possible for anyone.

7)      Females tend to get paid less then males.
-In statistical ratings it proves that women tend to get paid less then men. I think this is very sexist and should be changed. Women are capable of being harder workers then some men. Some of us may contain higher levels of education and have more experience which will hopefully earn the women more annual income.

8)      Death occurs.
-This terrible word happens to everyone, there’s no escaping it. No one knows what it’s like beyond a lifetime. Losing a loved one can feel like a pebble just crushed you. It’s something we’ve learned to deal with.  We just need to remember the saying, live everyday as if it were your last and to live, laugh, and love often!

9)      Girls have crazy emotions.
-Being a girl you get to experience your emotions as if you were on a roller coaster for longer then three minutes. It is a normal thing for girls to be sensitive and take everything to heart. I always wonder if boys ever feel this way, but it’s not fair when it is more noticeable on girls.

10)  Boy’s just don’t understand.
-The female’s brain is like a plate of spaghetti, it’s all twisted but we know what’s going on. Guy’s brains are like a waffle; they all have their little compartments and only can think that way. It would be a difficult task for a male’s brain to function like ours, which is why it is so frustrating for women when they have to explain something to a person of the opposite gender. The little things women value most the guys tend to never get!
