Dear William,

I have decided to write you due to the fact that I have finished reading one of your most popular plays. To me, I have found your writings a bit challenging to read and comprehend, but with my fellow classmates and teacher I think we were able to discuss the situations within the story. We read Othello. Even though it was a tragedy, there were many twists to lead us readers to wonder. We had to keep reading to figure out the “two faced” ways of Iago. There was so much drama and multiple controversies between people that we just had to keep reading! I do have a few questions for you William. One, how did you think of something like this, was there a point of time in your life when you felt like one of these characters? Two, did you think Othello was going to be a hit? To me this suspenseful story got me to want to read more of your plays and actually watch them be performed live. As a reader I want to find out more historical background of where these ideas of yours came about.

Sincerely,

            Lindi DeMars
