1) I came into this class not knowing one thing about Shakespeare so I was a bit nervous. Coming out of this I have learned so much, such as…
2) A new teacher can be super awesome because having a fresh start and a different way of doing things is just what SGHS needed, so thanks Miss Perkins!
3) I never realized that we could fulfill a whole semester on all Shakespeare’s work! He really was a talented man, yet a dirty one ha.
4) Having a whole class full of seniors is quite entertaining, we had many ‘laugh until we cried’ moments!
5) I was never big into plays, especially when I found them so challenging to read, but as the class talked it out it helped me to realize it wasn’t so hard to understand.
6) Movies really make plays come to life, especially with the weird imagination you needed to follow Shakespeare’s thoughts.
7) Memorizing, seriously I so struggle with that, especially with all the funky words Shakespeare would use, but having a partner to practice with and using dresses and props I found it rather easy. Now I don’t think I can forget those lines from MSND. We seniors just randomly burst into lines of Shakespeare now, I love it!
8) Blogging, well that was definitely new for me. I still have mixed feelings about it. But I’m sure it’s a helpful thing to know how to do.
9) I learned that I would probably have poor nutrition if I lived in the Elizabethan Era; I found all the food from our projects rather interesting and not agreeing with my taste buds. Yuck ha.
10) Last but not least, I learned I am FOR SURE going to miss this class! It was a great way to end my first semester English class of high school, and look forward to Creative Writing. Bummer its not all seniors, can we arrange that?
Thanks, Miss Lindi! Creative Writing will be awesome! Thanks for all of your fantastic work this semester! :)
